Hennessey Venom F5
American carmaker Hennessey’s made their fast hypercar which has a top speed of 270.49 mph. That’s more than a Bugatti Veyron Supersport. This here is its successor that’s been primed to go even faster. It’s also got a GPS-based traction control for certain racetracks around the world. It’ll pre-empt what’s ahead and automatically rehash the car’s traction control for optimal grip on every single inch of the track.
Only 9 of these will be built. Built with a V8 from a Corvette, interestingly the Epitome’s got two fuel tanks. One holds 91-octane gasoline and extracts 1,200horsepower from the engine. The other, contains 110-octane gasoline, and can extract 1,750horsepower from the engine. You know which fuel to ask for should you get behind the wheel of this baby and need to top up.
Hybrids had a reputation of being boring. Then came BMW’s i8 and now this Swedish hypercar that dutifully shreds that notion to smithereens. Its 5-litre twin-turbo V8 is coupled with a 9Kw battery pack. Together, they have the potential to generate a heart-stopping 1,800 horsepower. That’s nearly double what you get from a Ferrari La Ferrari. (Never mind that boutique car manufacturer Koenigsegg has built fewer cars in its 21-year history than Ferrari does in a single week.) When owner Christian von Koenigsegg said that the only car capable of beating the Regera in terms of sheer horsepower is another Koenigsegg, he was merely stating a fact.
